Michael Jackson is one of the most well-known people in the WORLD. I have a friend in INDIA who is his biggest fan and years back asked us to send him a red leather jacket just like MJs from the Beat It video. He is the Elvis of our era. His death coverage is probably at the level of Princess Diana's! He is recognized worldwide and was an icon and someone a a generation of people grew up with and he became a part of our lives. I grew up watching MJ's music videos and when I think of my childhood, he is a part of it.
How has the world changed now that Jacko has died?
There's going to be some lame tribute bands killing his music.
But life goes on. As of tomorrow, he will be part of the past but not forgotten. His music will still be passed on.
