Are bachelor's degree graduates better prepared to understand the changing world and complexities of democracy?

Yes
Are bachelor's degree graduates better prepared to understand the changing world and complexities of democracy?
I have a BA and an MA and I have say that your question is pretty elitist and not very democratic. It does not take a college degree to understand the country you live in. That kind of thinking is really repugnant in America and we are not going to have an %26quot;educated%26quot; upper class (with a BA? c'mon thats not that much) and the rest of the proles out there doing the bidding of the %26quot;educated%26quot; Goofy question indicating you are pretty impressed that you went to college.

Not necessirally.

There is a big difference between getting an education and getting a degree. All a degree means is that you met the minimum requirements for knowelage in a particular area.

For example: somebody who graduated with a degree in chemistry is not likely to know more than the rest of us about politics and international affairs.
