How did aristotle's idea of motion and change, change the world?

Aristotle's idea of motion and changed was that everything in the world changes, but stays the same. Example: a tennis ball going back and forth on a court. The motion is constantly changing, but the tennis ball is still a tennis ball ( only the ball is the same). how do u think his idea of change affect the world?
