in a rapidly changing world: customer expectations, innovative technology, environmental and social aspects of life are all impacted. Change is everywhere!
What does change = to you?
In answering please consider the following:
How do you feel about change?
How have you changed your world?
How have you changed personally?
How you react to and handle change?

I have a love-hate relationship with change. I love the anticipation %26amp; excitement and I hate the uncertainty.
I change the world I live in by being an active, passionate, engaged participant. I don't live on the sidelines and watch the world go by! I jump in and make a difference (at work, at home, right now by answering this question...in a million small ways every day). In the act of doing all this--I change too. A week ago I had never participated in any online community...now I can't stop answering questions or posting them :-) A year ago I had never heard of an IPOD (yes thats how out of it I can be!) and now it travels with me everywhere. One is an example of how the changing world is encouraging me to reach out and communicate with total strangers in cyberspace and the other is an example of how the changing world is making me more isolated from interactions with others in the real world (as I listen to my own private music instead of talking to those around me on planes and trains!).

鈥淚s the 鈥淲orld Changing? Do we need common action to save our common Environment?
Mother Earth is heading for BIG problems, just look at the weather and natural disasters we have been having the last five years, that,s seems a sure sign that things are going bad. Very drastic measures must be taken but when?. Polar bears drowning because the ice is melting, ozone layer getting bigger, could go on all day with such bad news.
鈥淚s the 鈥淲orld Changing? Do we need common action to save our common Environment?
Yes.
But since United States, producing more than half of greenhouse gases is not intersted there is not much the rest of the world can do.
鈥淚s the 鈥淲orld Changing? Do we need common action to save our common Environment?
Yes if its not to late already.
We could return to travelling on horse, bicycle and foot. Decide to use less petrol.
We could light candles instead of light-bulbs.
We could refuse to use the 700-seat air-bus.
We could shop less for things we don't really need.
But world-warming could be taking place anyway, as a natural shift in world weather conditions, and there is a general rush to %26quot;progress%26quot; which may mean we cannot turn back the clock.
It may simply be in the cards that this civilisation is doomed to self-destruct so that the planet can begin to renew itself all over again.home search a scam under eye concealer

Is the world changing for the better?
What are some examples??
Is the world changing for the better?
For some people it is. For some it is not.
This is a subjective question and is typical of the antiquated learning system we call the public schools.
Every person on the planet has a story. All 6 billion of us. tell your story if you want. it's just as good as the rest.
If this is a some kind of environmental thing, then you can get an easy A by saying we are destyroying the environment and global warming will kill us all, Al Gore style. teachers love that stuff.
Is the world changing for the better?
the technology is advancing and that would be a good thing if only the people were adavncing with it, so technically technology is a good change but since people are so uncivilized and do dumb things like wars and other stupid things they are changing the value of these tools that we could be using to grow and find new things as a method to destroy one another
Yes.... the world will be changing for the better when a new President is elected and Bush is booted out of office. Things can't get any worse, only better. Vote Blue 2008!!!
I agree with pedro above.... it is peoples stupidity that is getting in the way of advancement. Well said, pedro!
Yes and no.
Advances in technology can cure poverty and many other social issues.
Yet this causes pollution; wich leads to global warming. We will enver be a perfect society; because for every action; theres a reaction.

One word that sums up "world-changing"?
Are bachelor's degree graduates better prepared to understand the changing world and complexities of democracy?
Yes
Are bachelor's degree graduates better prepared to understand the changing world and complexities of democracy?
I have a BA and an MA and I have say that your question is pretty elitist and not very democratic. It does not take a college degree to understand the country you live in. That kind of thinking is really repugnant in America and we are not going to have an %26quot;educated%26quot; upper class (with a BA? c'mon thats not that much) and the rest of the proles out there doing the bidding of the %26quot;educated%26quot; Goofy question indicating you are pretty impressed that you went to college.
Are bachelor's degree graduates better prepared to understand the changing world and complexities of democracy?
Not necessirally.
There is a big difference between getting an education and getting a degree. All a degree means is that you met the minimum requirements for knowelage in a particular area.
For example: somebody who graduated with a degree in chemistry is not likely to know more than the rest of us about politics and international affairs.
