Does anyone know a good novel about something that started small but ended up changing the world?

Like maybe the story of some company or a person that started off as a nobody from no where and ended up changing the world around him/her.

(and no obama , Dell and bill gates biographies of any kind dont count)

It can even be a fiction but it has to be something you would really reccomend , something that kinda open your eyes to new hopes and dreams after you finished it.

Frindle!

It's kind of a kid book though, it's about some kids who start calling a pen a frindle for whatever reason, and then a whole bunch of people start calling it that and stuff.

So it didn't really change the world, but it's a good book, and the only thing I can think of :-P

The Circle Trilogy - Ted Dekker

Incredible. This trilogy is easy to fall into...delve into. And I think it fits your criteria pretty well.
Try the Inheritance series by Christopher Paolini. Also, Fly By Night by Frances Hardinge is good, too.
Ben-Hur:A Tale Of The Christ by Gneral Lew Wallace. It was the first (I think) million selling work of American fiction

If that's not to your taste, how about The Moon Is A Harsh Mistress by Robert A. Heinlein? It's a story about a revolution started by three people and one computer with a mind of its own.

Or, novel idea, you could ask a librarian.
